Darren Rolling Keys
Darren is an accomplished Central Coast singer songwriter who plays keyboard, guitar, harp, stomp box and piano accordion. He has played with various cover and original bands over the years such as Tobie and The Tension, The Jury, True Love Chaos, 2 Shots Classic Rock Band and he set out on his own, very successful, solo career in 2014, meeting like minded musicians along the way, forming his own covers band, the Darren Rolling Keys Band, recruiting Tony McDowell, Mauro Bortolin, Greg Pigott, Ryan Mathison, Adam Church, and Glenn Baker.
Darren has a great Classic Rock repertoire and he enjoys performing for his audience and can hold a crowd wherever he plays. He’s been told “You’re the real deal“ by audiences and classic rock music lovers everywhere who have had the pleasure of being at one of his shows. As a solo musician he really is in a league of his own.Darren opened for Swanee at The Bridge Hotel in early 2016 and had the pleasure of meeting Glen A Baker (Iconic Australian Music Historian) who told him personally ”You really hold yourself well up there, all by yourself on that stage”.Then, not long after, Darren joined Swanee, playing keys and rhythm guitar along side Mick O’Shea / Paul wheeler, Tony McDowell and Mick Carter.
In 2016, Darren also joined One World with Wayne Smith, Tony McDowell, Phil Knight, Mick Carter, Ryan Mathison, Paul Wheeler / Mick O’Shea.
Another thing that happened in 2016, was when Darren met Steve Mulry at a TMG show at The Bridge Hotel and they hit it off and formed a successful duo called “Here’s Trouble”. When 2017 rolled around, Darren played keys and rhythm guitar for the Steve Edmonds Band and also did vocals when requested. In 2021, Darren became the keys / guitar player for Lawless Breed.But to top off 2021, Darren Rolling Keys joined John Paul Young and the All Star Band playing rhythm guitar, keyboard, and piano accordion.
